Performance Contracting Consulting

Performance Contracting Consulting is an Owner's Rep service. Performance Contracting is growing in popularity as a way for Owners to implement ECMs and meet energy goals. In Performance Contracting, a third-party, called an ESCO (Energy Savings Contractor) installs energy projects in an Owner's facilities and is paid out of the energy savings stream that the projects generate.

Many Owners feel more comfortable having an independent Owner's Representative help them through this process, as there are some highly technical and complex contractual issues such as:

  • Establishing the energy baseline from which savings will be measured
  • computing the annual energy savings
  • monitoring and verifying project results.

Energy Ace has extensive experience in this area with clients such as Florida State University, DeKalb County, Georgia, Columbus State University and Dallas Public Schools. Energy Ace can prepare your RFP or RFQ, assist with proposal evaluation, help with your selection process, assist in the negotiations and perform project oversight and analysis during design, construction and operations.
